Detection of XYL in Liquids and Powders with Quick Results

The presence of XYL can now be easily determined within just 5-10 minutes using our convenient dip-and-read test strips. These strips are designed to provide reliable and accurate results when testing for XYL in a substance.

To conduct the test, ensure that the sample and test strips are at room temperature (59-86°F). Begin by opening the pouch and removing the strip. Next, immerse the strip into the sample with the arrow pointing towards the liquid for 10 seconds. Be careful not to exceed the maximum sample level, as it may affect the test results. Afterward, place the strip on a clean, dry surface and read the results at 5 minutes. Note that the results remain stable for up to 30 minutes.

When reading the results, a preliminary positive result is indicated by a rose-pink band in the control region but no colored band in the test region. In this case, the sample should be sent to a lab for confirmation. On the other hand, a negative result is shown by a rose-pink band in both the control and test regions, indicating that XYL is either not present or is below detectable levels.

It is important to note that the test is invalid if a color band is not visible in the control region or if a band is only visible in the test region. In such cases, the test should be repeated with a new strip to ensure accurate results.
